general Frequently
Asked Questions

  • Are videos are designed to be easy and simple to follow in small incremental learning steps. We explain everything you need to know for your child’s year group so you can explain this to your child in a way they will understand. Feedback has advised us that they are easy to follow for non-teachers. We also explain where your child may become confused so you can be prepared for this too.

The worksheets are all designed at 3-levels with all answer sheets provided.

  • No - don’t worry. The main aim is for your child to be able to complete the 1-star and 2-star challenges and this will be what is required in the end of topic assessment. The 3-star is a challenge to push them a little further - but if they are not ready, please don’t worry. They will pick this up in the next year group.

  • The videos are aimed at ‘talking to’ parents. However, your child could watch them - although we always suggest you watch them as well so you can help them and answer any questions they may have using the same teaching methods shown in the video.

However, older children may prefer to watch them on their own, pause, complete parts of the work, recap and use the video to help them more independently and this is fine too. They are designed for you to use at home in a way that works for you.
